Geosynthetics clay liner (GCL) is a new type of environmental composite material waterproof and anti-seepage, and it is also a kind of waterproof material based on the swelling principle of bentonite in water. Bentonite particles is filled between the woven geotextile and the non-woven geotextile. The upper non-woven fiber is combined on the lower woven fabric with special process and needling method.

GCL is a kind of impermeable liner between GCL (field thick compacted clay impermeable liner) and polymer materials ---- geomembrane. It is mainly used in waste landfills, underground reservoirs, underground infrastructure construction and other projects in environmental engineering to solve the problems of sealing, isolation and anti-leakage with good effect and strong resistance to damage.

3, construction is simple, short construction period: Compared to other waterproof materials, it’s construction is relatively simple, no heating and sticky post. Just use bentonite powder and nails, washers, etc. to connect and fix. After construction, there is no need test and even if there is problem of waterproof, it is also easy to maintenance is the shortest construction period among existing waterproofing materials.

4、It is not affected by temperature: it does not break brittle even in cold climates.

5, the integration of waterproofing materials and objects: sodium bentonite has 20-28 times the expansion capacity when exposed to water, even if the concrete structure vibrates and settles, the bentonite within the GCL can repair cracks in the concrete surface within 2mm.

6, environmental protection: bentonite as the natural inorganic materials, it is harmless and non-toxic to humans, no special impact on the environment, and with good environmental performance.
